WorkLW.com is a coworking space and podcast studio in Suite 37 of the historic Rhodesbilt Arcade in downtown Lake Wales, Florida — the 1926 original, not the new one.
The Building
The Rhodesbilt Arcade, 1924–1926.
We work out of Suite 37 in the Rhodesbilt Arcade at 230 E Park Avenue — the historic Arcade, built during Florida's land boom by contractor and real estate agent Jesse T. "Good" Rhodes. As the saying went: Polk County built good roads, and "Good" Rhodes built Lake Wales.
It is Mediterranean Revival: curved parapet, arched entrances, decorative ceramic tile, and two completely different facades because the building runs straight through the block from Park Avenue to Stuart Avenue. Inside, a two-story open atrium pulls daylight down through the skylights past stained glass and original mosaic tile. The arcade was listed on the National Register as part of the Lake Wales Commercial Historic District in 1990.
Today the ground floor is storefronts, food, and the Latte Lounge; the second floor is restored office suites on the original 1920s hardwood. We kept the building as it is and added what modern work actually needs: symmetric fiber, power at every seat, dual monitors, and a sound-treated room to record in.

About Lake Wales
Downtown, walkable, and on the upswing.
We sit on Park Avenue inside the city's new Arts and Cultural Entertainment (ACE) District, in the middle of the Lake Wales Connected downtown revitalization — coffee downstairs at the Latte Lounge, lunch and errands within a short walk, and Bok Tower and the ridge lakes just beyond.
It is a just-far-enough spot between Tampa and Orlando: close enough for meetings, far enough to actually think.
